Jane Lange
Bringing “His Story” back into Historical
When not traveling with her husband in their royal carriage (fifth wheel camper). Jane calls Minnesota Home. Born in, Royal Oak Michigan and raised in Minnesota with four siblings, made it difficult to find quiet time alone. She began reading romance novels at a very young age. “The Flame and the Flower” by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, was her first and second favorite to the classic “Gone with the Wind” by Margaret Mitchell.
Being a young mother and wife also presented its challenges. Again with little time to herself, her favorite and only hobby was to read, read and read more. She developed a taste for carriages, balls, gowns and most of all romance. With so few balls to attend then and after years of raising her children, she embarked on a new challenge in her life, writing historical romance. As an aspiring author she has traveled through out the United States, digging up any tiny scrap of history that may provide an intriguing idea in one of her novels.
Her favorite characters are her strong and yes sometimes stubborn hero’s, who come from the trenches of the deep south and Civil War days to the glitz and glamour of Kansas Cities wealthiest in the early thirties, her great grandfather being one of them. What do they have in common? They are looking for that perfect and sometimes not so perfect woman to love and cherish.
When she is not writing, or researching, she enjoys spending time with her three grown children, Kamille, Brandon and Matthew or antique collecting with her real life hero, her husband Bryan.
